Toio Floor Lamp by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni / Flos
€ 840,00
The Toio Floor Lamp, designed by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos in 1962, is one of the most celebrated icons of Italian post-war design. Inspired by the concept of the ready-made, the brothers transformed an automobile headlight into a sculptural uplighter, combining industrial components with refined engineering and playful ingenuity.
Featuring a height-adjustable telescopic stem, exposed transformer and distinctive fishing-rod cable guides, the Toio remains a timeless statement piece that perfectly embodies the Castiglionis' innovative approach to functional design. Today, it is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
