Art Deco Hi-Fi Speaker System by Reimer
€ 47.000,00
A rare, entirely unique Hi-Fi sound system designed and handcrafted in Vienna in 1992 by Reimer, a Viennese graphic designer and passionate audiophile.
At first glance, the pair resembles an elegant set of Art Deco-inspired floor lamps. The speaker technology is deliberately concealed within the sculptural form, allowing the objects to integrate seamlessly into an interior without visually reading as loudspeakers.
The system combines sound, light and sculptural design, with 360° sound dispersion through an integrated ceiling reflector. The 2-way configuration was developed for larger spaces and is complemented by dedicated bass enclosures.
Technical specifications:
2-way Hi-Fi system · 17 L bass-reflex enclosure · 40 Hz–22 kHz · 87 dB sound pressure · recommended amplifier power 20 W+
The design was registered under Austrian Design Certificate No. 13 330 and conceived as a handcrafted individual project rather than a commercially produced speaker.
A second version of the design exists with a different sculptural top section. While a small number of this variation were produced, the examples offered here are unique and represent the only existing pair of this particular design. A distinctive example of Viennese 1990s design, seamlessly combining high-fidelity audio, lighting and Art Deco-inspired form.
